Our main focus is on providing help and assistance to families seen under the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. This can range from face to face chats and telephone support to all of the little extras that can make a stay in hospital more comfortable, such as refreshments for parents, implementing improvements to facilities and funding special rewards for young patients.
There are many ways that you can get involved in our work and make a significant difference to the lives of children with serious heart and lung conditions, and their families. You could help us as an individual by holding an event or taking part in a sporting activity to raise vital funds or why not ask your employer, school or club to facilitate a joint venture. There are endless possibilities, and our team are here to assist you in bringing your ideas to life.
As well as our many ongoing and exciting support projects in progress, we are currently raising funds to buy brand new monitoring equipment for the main children’s ward at Royal Brompton Hospital - to provide individually tailored, second by second, statistics for each child.
If you would like to support the appeal, and help us to reach our target, by making a donation or starting a fundraising campaign of your own you can find out how below.
We are incredibly proud of the support network that we have developed to enable our ‘Brompton Families’ to communicate with one another - in person at our many social events and activities and through the use of social media. By bringing families together we have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to build a fantastic bank of resources by real people who understand this new ‘medical world’ that many parents can find themselves arriving in unexpectedly.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved with The Brompton Fountain and meet new people, as well as gain experience and skills for your CV. We are a friendly and dedicated team looking to expand and build on the work that we can provide. If you would like to find out more about the specific roles we currently have available, or how to help out in a more general way with our fundraising events or parties, please get in touch.
Every year we hold our hugely popular Super Hero Day, as part of a major event with thousands of attendees at Regent's Park in London.
Not just a fundraising activity, raising fantastic amounts of money for the charity, but also great way to meet other families and supporters. You can run, walk or crawl the 5k/10k distance and have lots of fun doing it! Join the team afterwards for games, picnic, face painting and more!
