The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital. We work closely with the teams within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU), children’s ward (Rose), the playroom, outpatient departments and hospital school.
Our charity provides a wide range of vital resources, services, parent/carer amenities, and accommodation. We also fund medical equipment, facilities improvements and projects outside of the NHS remit.
Many patients have life-limiting conditions and will require frequent admissions and often long stays in hospital for surgery and ongoing treatment for the rest of their lives. Our team have first-hand experience in caring for a child with a serious illness and provides support from the point of diagnosis as well as before, during and after any admission.
Our aim is to improve the quality of life and environment for young patients in hospital and at home, making a difference when it’s needed most.
Our team has first-hand experience caring for a child with a serious illness, so we can provide comprehensive support to parents throughout their child’s treatment journey and beyond.
We run a group called Trailblazers, supporting inpatients and outpatients of Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals aged 13-25.
We rely solely on the kindness and generosity of our incredible supporters so that we can continue our vital work. However you decide to support us, our fundraising team will be with you every step of the way.
